About the Workshop
Teachers are on the front lines of student wellbeing, playing a crucial role in identifying and addressing mental health challenges in the classroom. This workshop equips educators with the confidence, knowledge, and practical tools to support their students effectively. This will be achieved through a combination of psychoeducation around mental health as well as providing insights into challenging behaviours their causes and maintaining factors.
With small group settings (maximum 10 participants), participants will gain valuable insights and skills tailored to real-world classroom dynamics.

Schedule
Day 1 (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Takes a close look at the basic factors involved in maintaining positive psychological wellbeing such as values and basic body upkeep requirements. We will also dive into some common mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and escapism.
Day 2 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
We will come together again on day 2 to have a closer look at complex behaviours such as aggression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and trauma responses. *Please note that this day will discuss sensetive topics relating to suicide, and childhood abuse (physical, emotional and sexual). Participants will be given hands-on experience using tools to help identify the underlying causes for, and potential maintaining factors of complex behaviours, and strategies for managing these types of behaviours in the work, as well as personal life.

Day 2 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Go into more specific scenarios around complex behaviour and it's underlying causes. Building knowlege around a couple of specific tools to help inform them of underlying causes for complex behaviour.
